Caroline Musselwhite

Dr. Caroline Musselwhite is an assistive technology specialist with more than 45 years of experience working with children and adolescents with significant disabilities in a variety of settings, including Head Start, clinics, developmental day programs, homes, and the public schools. Dr. Musselwhite has written a number of textbooks and “how-to” books on a range of topics, and has authored many books and software programs for youth with disabilities. She has taught courses at several universities and presented thousands of workshops throughout North and South America, Australia, Europe, and Africa. She has also supported Communication Circles and Balanced Literacy Clubs in multiple cities in the US and Canada. Honors include: Foundation Fellowship (West Virginia University), Educator of the Year (ARC-NC), Honors of the Association, (NC Augmentative Communication Association), DiCarlo Outstanding Clinician Award (NC Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and ISAAC Fellow.

AAC Consultant

Deanna Wagner

Deanna is a speech/language pathologist with 30 years of experience providing team-based evaluations, consultations and training in the area of assistive technology with an emphasis on augmentative communication.  As a Spanish-speaking member of the TherapyOne Assistive Technology Team, she works collaboratively with therapists, educators and families to achieve goals in the area of AAC selection and implementation. She also provides ongoing AAC services at ValleyLifeAZ Adult Day Treatment Program.  She has presented at local, national and international conferences. As co-coordinator of Out and About, she leads activities and designs materials (mini books and CD) that support integration of AAC into the local community.  She is co-author of TPT Poetry Power Planbooks.  She voluntarily participates in projects that provide access to AAC resources in Spanish, including providing feedback to a number of vendors in the pursuit of bilingual AAC applications and interventions.
